A 4x4 vehicle is mandatory standard cars cannot complete the Guba-to-Khinalig mountain road. There is no public transport to Khinalig.

Gobustan is 60 km south of Baku 1 hour by private transfer on the coastal highway. The best option is a private transfer with Luxline: hotel pickup, English speaking driver, fixed price, optional mud volcano extension with 4x4. Public bus exists but is impractical for tourists.
